Camp Fires & Caravans

When setting up a campfire near a caravan or awning, it's essential to maintain a safe distance to prevent damage or risk of fire spreading. Here are some guidelines:

1. *Minimum distance:* 10-15 feet (3-4.5 meters) between the campfire and caravan awning.

2. *Safe zone:* Create a clear area of at least 20 feet (6 meters) in diameter around the campfire, free from flammable materials.

3. *Consider wind direction:* Position the campfire so that wind blows away from the caravan awning.

4. *Use firebreaks:* Place firebreaks, like rocks or gravel, around the campfire to contain sparks and embers.

5. *Monitor wind conditions:* Avoid having a campfire during strong winds or gusty conditions.

6. *Keep a fire extinguisher nearby:* Ensure you have a fire extinguisher or a bucket of sand nearby in case of emergencies.

7. *Follow campsite rules:* Adhere to campsite regulations and guidelines for campfires.

Remember, safety is paramount! Be cautious and attentive when having a campfire near your caravan awning.
